Archery Registration

During the “Yellow – Safer At Home” phased re-opening of the local economy, the Isaac Gateword James Park Archery Range will be open for practice from 12:30 to 5 Saturday and Sunday. Check the links below in the “Available Days for Registration” section for lane availability and signup. Until we are “Green – New Normal”, there will be a maximum of 10 persons on the field at any one time. (One range officer/instructor and 9 participants.). This means there will be 9 open lanes in which to practice. Targets will have a 15 foot separation. To participate please:

  • When you signup you are expected to show up. If you do not you are denying someone else the opportunity to practice. Not showing up can be cause for you to be denied in the future a spot on the field.
  • Sign up below for the date you would like a practice lane, (sign ups are in 90 minute blocks). (one person per target)
  • You must bring a face mask with you. Face masks must be worn while at the Isaac Gateword James Park.
  • All public equipment (bow, arrows, arm guards, finger tabs, finger slings, etc.) shall be cleaned (disinfected) by the archer both prior to and after use.
  • Please follow walking guidelines to get to and from your shooting lane (when possible walk in front of the waiting line when leaving, and behind the waiting line when approaching your lane).
  • Please maintain at least a six foot separation with others whenever possible.

Social Distancing and personal health must now also be taken into consideration. The Division of Fish and Wildlife reserves the right to revoke usage privilege to any individual who does not comply with the Archery Range Rules. Archery Range Rule are posted on the Registration page.

Please Note

There are a limited number of slots at each session. So please only sign up if you are sure you can attend. If you sign up and do not show up to the session, that is potentially taking a slot from someone else that would like to shoot archery.

If you did sign up for a session and then something comes up, and you can not make it. Please, as soon as you can unregister so, the slot will be open for someone else that would like to shoot archery. To unregister, go to http://viarchery.org/archery-registration/ and click on the date and time that you registered. Click the “Already registered? Click here to Unregister” link to enter the email address you used to register after you click the “Send unregister link” button. This will send you an email that will confirm the unregistering for that session.
